Composite Guarantee & Terms
Up to 25 years · independently tested & certified
Composite beams carry their supplier's guarantee against manufacturing defects: 10, 15 or 25 years, depending on the range and profile, and every profile is independently tested to perform in the application it's designed for. We handle a claim with the supplier for you, and our own 2-year workmanship guarantee covers the installation. Here's exactly what that means, what it covers, and how it works.
25Year
Solid composite, premium profiles
15Year
Solid composite, standard profiles
10Year
Aluminium-core beams, composite finish
2Year
Workmanship guarantee on our composite pergolas
Guarantee by range
| Range | Build | Guarantee |
|---|---|---|
| Solid | Solid composite beams | 15–25-year by profile |
| Aluminium-core | Aluminium-core composite beams | 10-year composite finish |
All terms below apply to every range above. The exact guarantee for your selected products is confirmed in writing on your quote.
Each profile is engineered for a specific function, and the guarantee that applies depends on the profile you choose. We'll always confirm the exact term for your selected products in writing on your quote.
Independently tested
We don't ask you to take our word for it. Our composite profiles are independently tested and certified by SGS , the world's leading inspection, testing and verification company and the global benchmark for product quality and integrity. Our profiles are certified 100% compliant with the international standards for the applications they're designed for.
What the guarantee covers
- The product is guaranteed against manufacturing defects for the term that applies to that profile, valid from the date of purchase.
- The guarantee applies as long as the product is installed according to its specific installation requirements and used for its intended application.
- Profiles may carry their guarantee across more than one application, provided the supporting framework and fixing requirements for that profile are met.
What it doesn't cover
- Products used for an application they are not designed or intended for.
- Products that have not been installed to specification (correct framework, fixing and support spacing).
- Damage from misuse, accidental damage, or failure to follow the care & cleaning guide (for example, dragging concrete objects or using solvents).
- The guarantee covers replacement of the affected profile, not the cost of re-installation.
Installation requirements
Correct support is the single most important factor in a long-lasting composite installation, and it's a condition of the guarantee:
Beams must be installed within the maximum span for the profile and size selected, and fixed to a sound supporting structure. Hollow composite profiles take the specified steel inserts where longer spans are required. If you're ever unsure, ask us and we'll gladly advise.
How a claim works
- Email us with the details and photos of the issue.
- We'll have a plan of action in place within 72 hours.
- We carry out a site inspection to assess the situation before any product is replaced.
- Where the supplier upholds a claim, the affected profile is replaced.
Supply-only & supply-and-install
We offer both supply-only and full supply-and-install. On a supply-and-install project we are your one point of contact for the whole composite scope: we handle any product claim with the supplier, and our workmanship guarantee covers the installation. When we supply only, your products carry their full product guarantee provided they're installed to specification by a competent installer.
General terms
- Every project is custom-built, so all quotes are project-specific and valid for the period stated on the quote.
- Colour and grain vary naturally between batches and over time as the surface mellows. This is a characteristic of a natural-look product, not a defect.
- Lead times, deposits and payment terms are set out on your individual quote.
- This guarantee is offered in addition to, and does not affect, your rights under the Consumer Protection Act.
Keep your products in guarantee with the composite care & cleaning guide. Questions about cover for a specific product? Contact us , and we'll gladly advise and assist.

We were looking for a modern, low-maintenance patio cover that suited our home in Stellenbosch, and this was exactly what we wanted. The finish is beautiful, the installation was neat, and communication throughout the project was excellent. It’s given us a space we can enjoy all year round. We would definitely use Aluminium Awnings again.
Aluminium Awnings Cape Town enclosed our Constantia patio with a manual louvre roof, full white, with aluminium doors and windows all round, and it's honestly become our favourite part of the house. We use it right through winter now. The rain and the wind don't get in, and it's so easy to wind the louvres open when the sun comes out. Neat, tidy install with a friendly team, and the white finish looks really clean against the house. Couldn't be happier, highly recommend.
Ryan and his team were awesome and really went the extra mile to make our awning perfect! Can definitely recommend them!
Very happy with the replacement of our awning after it got damaged in the May storm. More sturdy and stronger
We recently had a louvre awning installed by Aluminium Awnings at our home in Durbanville, and we’re so pleased with the result. The quality of the workmanship is excellent, and the finished product has completely transformed our outdoor space. The team was professional, arrived on time, and kept us informed throughout the installation. We looked at a few different companies before deciding, and we’re really glad we chose Aluminium Awnings. If you’re considering louvre awnings in Cape Town, we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

Aluminium Awnings is so professional from start to finish. They make the process easy and understandable from day 1. The quality of their work is outstanding, we are so happy! I highly recommend them!
Absolutely thrilled with our new louvre awning from Aluminium Awnings. From start to finish, the service was professional, the installation was neat, and the finished product looks incredible. We’re based in Blouberg, so we wanted something that would work well with the coastal conditions and strong winds, while still giving us control over the sunlight and shade. The louvre awning has completely transformed the outside area and the quality of the aluminium structure and finish is excellent. Would definitely recommend Aluminium Awnings to anyone in Blouberg or Cape Town looking for a quality louvre awning. Very happy with the end result!
